- Footwear: trainers or trail shoes, not sandals. The descent in daylight is where most slips happen.

When Is the Best Season for a Padar Sunrise?
The dry season, April through November, is the reliable window as of 2026: clearer skies for the sunrise itself, drier trails underfoot, and the golden-brown savannah hills the viewpoint is famous for. December to March turns the island a vivid green — beautiful in its own right — but brings a higher chance of cloud cover at dawn and rougher crossings that can delay or cancel a pre-dawn departure.
